One Breakfast to Rule Them All: Midnight Breakfast Spring 2011

Midnight Breakfast 2011 was a bit disorganized this year. The only reason that students gather at Midnight Breakfast every semester is for the infamous t-shirt. One must wonder whether waiting for three hours, being shoved by strangers, and being bossed by the CAB comittee is really worth it. However, I loved my t-shirt.

The Construction is Done! The Roundabout is Open!

Campbell University has FINALLY re-opened the intersection-turned-roundabout where Leslie Campbell Avenue meets Marshbanks Road. The construction began on February 14th, much to the displeasure of most faculty and students. On the morning of April 12th, Facebook exploded with status updates from Campbell students announcing the newly re-opened roads. Everyone is pleased to be able to cross Campbell without completely traveling around the entire campus.
Relay For Life at Campbell University

April 8, 2011 found Campbell students from all walks of life united for one cause in the University's Academic Circle: walking from 3 in the afternoon until 10 that night to raise money for the American Cancer Society. The Relay for Life website explains, "The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a life-changing event that gives everyone in communities across the globe a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease." Campbell University and the surrounding community dedicate one day each year for this event. This year's event produced more than 30 teams with creatively attractive booths as everyone walked for the cure.

Ryan Tedder, lead singer of OneRepublic, at Campbell University.
OneRepublic rocked the house of the John W. Pope Jr. Convocation Center at Campbell University on March 22, 2011. The crowd was feverish with excitement as the famous rock band performed their hit songs including "Apologize" and "Stop and Stare" in addition to their newer songs, released last October. The contagious energy of lead singer, Ryan Tedder, moved throughout the entire band and audience. Campbell University's Campus Activity Board has produced yet another outstanding spring concert!
