Getting Colourful at Holi

Did you know that going to Holi is on the 161 List? This Saturday, Holi 2012 took place on the Arts Quad. Holi is the Hindu festival of colours. During the festival in India, children and adults alike throw rang, a coloured powder at people. It gets on their clothes so by the end, everyone looks very colourful.

At Cornell's Holi celebration, we had rang, samosas, and henna. I don't know how many people I threw powder at, but I know that by the end of the day, I looked like a very bright patchwork quilt.

After nearly four years, I finally gave in and went to a Cayuga's Waiters concert. Spring Fever XXXVIII took place in Bailey Hall on 4/20, where the Waiters made jokes about the significance of the day, sang their heart out, and sent off their seniors. My personal favourite, and the primary motivation in going to the concert, was to hear "We Didn't Go to Harvard," which is on my 161 To Do List.

There's a little over a month left until graduation, and I can't wait!

As the commencement clock keeps ticking, graduation looms closer and closer. As a senior, it's hard to believe that my four years on the hill have gone by so quickly. On Wednesday, I was able to attend the Senior Class President's Reception, which was held in the Statler Ballroom.

Hearing President Skorton speak made me realise that my last few weeks of senior year are definitely moments to be treasured and remembered. I absolutely cannot wait to make more fantastic memories with my friends before May 27.

The girl's dress is simple and clean. That classic peter pan collar detail is great because it provides a playful contrast between her dress and patterned tights and boots.

The boy next to her is pretty slick. Pay close attention to the high contrast denim fades and those gawk-worthy high top sneakers. Streetwear at its finest!
