As I’m sure you all have heard by now, Amendment One has been accepted into the North Carolina constitution. Although I would have hoped that it would be a close race, nearly 61% of North Carolina voted for the amendment. I have to say, I was both shocked and disappointed by the results. It seems like construction is everywhere you look here in Boone! Whether it's on King Street, on campus, or somewhere causing traffic on 321, you can't avoid it in this mountain town. As summer days go by, our fingers are crossed that it will all be finished by the Fall 2012 semester!
