other cultures

We’ve all heard what American college guys think about relationships, but what about boys from other countries? HC sat down in a London pub with a group of cute guys from all over the world to discuss their views on love.   1. What do you like in a girl?
Shark, pigeon, sheep, or maybe some brain, intestines, and liver – no, it’s not a map of the local zoo or the syllabus for your Bio 101 lab.  As many of us in America are used to a standard cheeseburger and a boring bag of potato chips, it is not surprising that food from other countries around the world can seem very unusual to our bland palates.
The world is full of so many empowering females that you couldn’t possibly count them all.
As HC staffers touched upon during our study abroad week, heading overseas is a horizon-broadening experience for college students. By being exposed to famous landmarks and educating themselves through foreign culture and language, study abroad students often return home with a feeling of self-gratification. But what about those students on our campuses who come here for their education?

You may not have the time or money to study abroad, but you can still experience cultures from around the globe without leaving your college town. Celebrate the history and heritage of countries near and far by checking out a concert, renting a movie or whipping up a meal. Follow our advice and you’ll get all the perks of globetrotting without the jetlag.
