The hottest Spotify playlist ever made is officially here, and belongs to our very own commander in chief. Yes, you heard correctly: POTUS has a playlist.
Just last week, the White House tweeted out two distinct playlists that President Obama created for his summer vacation. From a president that we’ve seen like this:
we could expect nothing less than absolute greatness – and we weren’t disappointed! The two playlists, entitled “Day” and “Night,” are brimming with danceable hits both old and new. It’s got everything from Queen B (a must have for any classy president) to the Rolling Stones.
The more chill “Night” playlist takes the energy down a notch, with mellow ballads from The Lumineers, Mary J. Blige and even Frank Sinatra (his Chicago pride is showing!).
President Obama has been known to be many things, but “stuffy archaic politician” was never one of them. We can practically see him wiggling his mom-jean-clad butt to Florence + The Machine, or slow dancing with a daughter to Van Morrison’s “Moondance.” He’s as down-to-earth as they come for a president, and that’s what we love most about him (politics aside).
