Taco Bell Will Soon Offer Boozy Beverages & No, This Is Not a Drill

Your go-to drunk food spot is might soon become your new favorite boozy bar too. In addition to getting us all hooked on things like Doritos Locos Tacos (no shame) the fast food fave is about to start rolling out tons of Taco Bell Cantina locations – a.k.a. luxe Taco Bells that also serve mixed drinks.

Cosmopolitan reports that the chain has already been testing “Cantina” versions of its restaurant – which don’t have drive-throughs, feature a tapas style and yes, serve alcohol – in Chicago since 2015. Apparently, they’re now ready to bring boozy Taco Bell to the rest of the country. (This is not a drill!) As for the drinks? Think tequila-spiked Cantina Punch and Twisted Freezes, which are alcoholic versions of Taco Bell’s signature slushies.

According to Refinery29, the chain has said it plans to open at least 300 Cantina locations by 2022 – and if you live in an urban area you’re really in luck, because Taco Bell plans to focus its boozy locations in those areas in order to, “stay relevant.” Drinks and drunk munchies all in one spot? Sounds like a solid plan to me.
