An Argentine reporter was asked to leave Trump Tower in New York after he was overheard speaking Spanish, according to Buzzfeed News.
Marcos Stupenengo, a reporter for the Mexican television network Azteca TV, was taking a phone call in Spanish while waiting to begin filming when he was told the campaign no longer wished to participate.
BuzzFeed initially reported that Stupenengo had scheduled a one-on-one interview with Trump ahead of time. Stupenengo clarified Tuesday that it was not a personal interview with Trump that was canceled, but rather a request to film, Politico reports.
Just to clarify, No personal interview with Donald Trump was canceled. A film request was approved by phone and denied on site.

“There was no interview scheduled. We do not know this individual or anything about the alleged situation,” Trump spokeswoman Hope Hicks told Politico.
While Trump’s campaign denies the claim that Stupenengo ever had anything to do with them, Stupenengo didn’t have a lot to say about the issue, Buzzfeed reports.
“I can say that after 13 years of journalism worse things have happened to me,” Stupenengo told Buzzfeed.
Trump’s struggle to maintain relations with Latino voters and media has been a theme throughout his campaign, after he has repeatedly made offensive comments regarding Latino culture and immigration.
