One Woman Who Accused Trump Of Harassment Just Won A House Primary In Ohio

Once a receptionist at Trump Tower, Rachel Crooks is now the Democratic candidate for the House of Representatives for Ohio’s 88th district.

According to Fortune Magazine, it was Crook’s experiences with President Donald Trump that led her to run for office. While working at Trump Tower in 2006, Crooks claims that Trump approached her and kissed her without consent. Trump denied the act on Twitter in February, but the incident still inspired Crooks to lead with integrity and push for positive change.

Crooks told The Washington Post about the incident in February when she came forward. “He started kissing me on one cheek, then the other cheek. He was talking to me in between kisses, asking where I was from, or if I wanted to be a model. He wouldn’t let go of my hand, and then he went right in and started kissing me on the lips.”

The Post also reported on Crooks’ record-breaking nomination. The college administrator received over 1,500 individual donations in the three-month period after she went public with the accusations.

Bustle said that Crooks may face some challenges winning the election in the red-leaning Ohio district. However, the district did go blue during both of Obama’s presidential runs, and it seems that Crooks’ unwavering support isn’t dwindling any time soon.
