Despite her husband no longer being president, Michelle Obama still manages to be the FLOTUS America deserves. Last week, an adorable two-year-old named Parker Curry sent the Internet into a tizzy when a photo was posted of her gazing up at the gorgeous portrait of the former First Lady that hangs at the National Portrait Gallery. The post was shared 35,000 times and caught the eye of one Michelle Obama.
The all around lovely human being then invited Parker and her mother Jessica to her office in Washington, D.C. where she talked to the sweet girl and her mother about, presumably, what it means to be a queen and how to one day rule the world with kindness and heart. Probably.
But the best part? The two got down and danced to Taylor Swift’s “Shake it Off” right there in the office! Michelle Obama posted the video to her Twitter.
Parker, I’m so glad I had the chance to meet you today (and for the dance party)! Keep on dreaming big for yourself…and maybe one day I’ll proudly look up at a portrait of you! pic.twitter.com/faUVTsYWun

She said that she was glad to have met her and that one day she hoped to be staring up at a portrait of Parker just as Parker had done with Michelle’s.
The sweet exchange had social media in a full on meltdown yet again. Twitter users were full of heart eyes and happiness at the tender moments between Obama and the little girl who sees her as a queen. It’s moments like these that remind us there’s good still left in the world.
Keep dreaming big, Parker. One day you might be the President yourself.
