Belmont Student Sends Mom a Hilarious Life-Size Cutout While Abroad

Studying abroad can leave parents with a sense of excitement, or empty nest syndrome. Dalton Ross, a Belmont University student spending the semester in London, decided to send his mom something to keep her company until he came home.

Most parents are the ones sending the care packages as opposed to receiving them from kids who are frolicking abroad—so no one really expected Dalton to send his mom a life-sized cutout of himself (yes, one very similar to that Niall Horan cutout we know you still have in your bedroom at home).

Ross most likely didn’t expect his mom’s response to be just as hysterical as his original gift.

Susan Talley, Ross’ mom, decided to make sure her “son” didn’t miss out on any of the family shenanigans while he was away. She took the cutout to the batting cages, and even set her “son” up on a date.

Talley made sure to upload all of these pictures to Facebook for friends and family to see.

“My mom is funny and out-joked me on this one,” Ross told the Huffington Post.

These two definitely gave us some ideas for how to handle the study abroad separation anxiety with a sense of humor.
