Meet the Founders

Windsor, Annie, and Stephanie met while undergraduates at Harvard through running Harvard College’s lifestyle and fashion magazine. Through their work on this student publication, they saw the potential for something even bigger and better, and spent spring 2009 developing the business plan for Her Campus. After countless nights working in Harvard’s Quincy House dining hall until 3AM (or later!), they went on to enter and win the i3 Innovation Challenge, Harvard College’s business plan competition, in March 2009. Stephanie, Windsor, and Annie spent summer 2009 living together in a super tiny apartment in New York City, doing internships while preparing Her Campus for its launch in September 2009.

The three founders are now back in Boston--Windsor and Stephanie graduated from Harvard in 2010 and Annie is taking a leave of absence from Harvard--working at the Her Campus office near Faneuil Hall, where they are probably sitting, working (and g-chatting) right now!

Stephanie, Windsor, and Annie have been named to:
BusinessWeek's 25 Under 25 Best Young Entrepreneurs
Inc. Magazine's 30 Under 30 Coolest Young Entrepreneurs
Glamour Magazine's 20 Amazing Young Women
The Boston Globe's 25 Most Stylish Bostonians

The Her Campus founders have spoken at the Women: Inspiration & Enterprise Symposium hosted by Arianna Huffington, Donna Karan & Sarah Brown, Harvard Women in Business's Intercollegiate Business Convention, Stanford's Women in Business Conference, Northeastern University, Boston College, and Boston University School of Management, among others.
