Company Creates ‘Walk of Shame Kit’

Yes, you read that correctly. A “Walk of Shame Kit” exists, and it was created to solve all of your post-one-night-stand problems. Sort of.

The kit, which sells for $34.99, includes a dress, flip-flops, a backpack, sunglasses, a pre-pasted toothbrush, “all-over” wipes and a “Call/Don’t Call leave behind note card.” According to the Walk of Shame Kit website, it’s “everything you’ll need to walk home with your head held high.” Also included in the kit is a breast cancer awareness bracelet, because some of the proceeds from the kit sales are donated to funding an (unspecified) breast cancer foundation.

Sure, the items in the kit would be useful in an unexpected sleepover situation. However, if you planned ahead and brought the kit with you (which would require you to bring a purse big enough to carry it in), wouldn’t it just be easier to make your own? Preferably one with proper winter footwear attire, and without the words “Walk of Shame” emblazoned on the side?

In the words of Refinery29 editorial assistant Vanessa Golembewski, “We subscribe to the WWBD — What Would Beyoncé Do? — philosophy. And, this product suggests we do not wake up flawless. Not into it.”
