The Mockingjay lives and we just can’t get enough! The first installment of the final Hunger Games movie (based off the third and final book) premieres November 21, but to satisfy our hunger (get it?) for Mockingjay Part 1, a teaser trailer was just recently released and it’s amazing, beautiful, and super creepy.
Appearing to be a message from The Capitol’s villainous leader, President Snow, the video promotes unity among the districts against a pristine backdrop that’s a serious homage to “All White Everything.” On either side of Snow are the captured Peeta Mellark and Johanna Mason looking like gorgeous, stoic props for the president whom we love to hate. But his cool, calm, and collected demeanor can’t hide the malicious intent behind his words.
However, another video transmission interrupts the Capitol TV propoganda and it’s former victor and tech wiz Beetee, informing Panem that the Mockingjay lives. We get the chills just watching it and November 21 can’t come soon enough. We need our JLaw/Katniss fix ASAP! Hopefully there will be more of these to come and maybe we’ll even get a little glimpse of Liam Hemsworth as Gale because who doesn’t love looking at that beautiful man?
