Congrats are in order for mommy-to-be Adele!
The British soul-singing diva announced the happy news to her fans with a post to her blog on Friday.
“I’m delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together,” she writes. “I wanted you to hear the news direct from me. Obviously we’re over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time.”
The two have been dating since last summer, but she only went public with their relationship together in January when she was photographed out and about with the CEO of Drop4Drop charity in London early this winter. He accompanied Adele to the Grammy Awards this year, where she nabbed six trophies for her album 21.
She gushed about her man to Vogue UK last November, saying, “He's wonderful. And he's proud of me, but he don't care about what I do or what other people think. He looks after me. I don't think I would have gotten through the recovery for my surgery if it hadn't been for him.”
“I really want to be a mum,” she told People recently, adding that her goal was to have three sons by the age of 30. “I better start getting on with it!”
