Tuition increases, fewer job opportunities post-college and incredibly high student debt are just a few issues that college students face every day. These issues will more than likely be hot topics in the upcoming presidential elections, and Chegg is giving YOU the chance to get your ideas onto the national platform during those elections!
This year, Chegg is giving one lucky college student the opportunity to be their student voice in the upcoming election. This student will be Chegg’s official election correspondent and will report on the election news that is most important to college students.
To be considered for the student voice position, collegiettes must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university in Fall 2012 and must be over 18 years old. They must be registered to vote in the US by 8/31/2012 and have a proven interest in politics.
Each candidate must create a 30 second to 1 minute video explaining why they should be the student voice for the 2012 election and highlighting what they feel are the biggest issues for college students in this election. Once the video is complete, candidates can email the video to studentvoice@chegg.com or tweet it to @chegg #TheStudentVoice. The deadline for submissions is July 30, 2012.
Once selected, the winner will blog and make video posts about the election. These posts will be highlighted on the Chegg for Good page and on all of Chegg’s social media channels. The winner will also get the chance to attend one or two national and local political events between August and November 2012 with transportation and expenses covered. And, even better, the winner will get paid for their writing and vlogging – $20 per blog post and $100 per event attendance!
