Gifts For Dad Under $100 – Holiday Gift Guide 2012

Dear old dad: I love you so, but I hate shopping for you. I ask you what you want and you say “you and your sister not to fight,” “a clean room,” or “straight As next semester.” I want to make you happy… but I’m just not so sure how realistic those things are (especially a clean room). Since you won’t tell me what you really want, here goes nothing. I told you to give me some direction! Luckily I have Her Campus to help me out when you won’t.

For the well-traveled

Have you seen your dad fumble with an old roll-y bag whose wheels keep twisting and sticking while traveling? I have. It’s not pretty. You know what is pretty? A brand new luggage case all wrapped up with a big bow on top. Make traveling with him ever-so-slightly easier. Plus, maybe now with his new suitcase he’ll want to thank you by taking you on vacation! Fingers crossed! $70

For the walk-down-memory-lane guy

Forget those slide projectors your dad pulls out when he wants to show you pictures from when he was a kid, get him this iConverter Instant Slide and Negative Scanner. He can easily preserve old photos — and best of all: make you see every. single. one. $80

For the dad who rocks!

If dad rocks — literally — let him do the grown-up version of taking shots out of a band’s shot glass — drink rocker-inspired wine. The Wines That Rock Gift Collection (to give when you’re 21+) has wine from Pink Floyd, The Grateful Dead and more! $75 for set of 5 (Bottles are $14.99 each or 3 for $50)

For the retro/”back in my day” dad

Who hasn’t heard their dad talk about how much better music sounds on a record player? Have him prove it with this Crosley Radio Tech Turntable. Just be prepared for a long holiday break listening to him spin his tunes. $65

For the cool shirt dude

It’s super boring, but every year my dad admits he needs new dress shirts. J.Crew actually has fun ones (as fun as dress shirts for your dad can be) like this Authentic Red Check one. Don’t forget J.Crew has a 15% student discount!! $88
