Looks like everyone’s favorite bodacious blonde, Kate Upton, has scored the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition for a second year running. The 20-year-old has left guys drooling and us with a new addition to our list of girl crushes in the magazine that lands on newstands this week. Clad in a fur trimmed parka and white bikini bottoms, Upton is not shy about showing off her curves in the snowy cover picture that was shot in Antartica.
However, while the location may have been cold, the model is nothing short of smodelering hot, with a beautiful smile and booming career. Looks like SI seems to agree on this as well, as the last model to receive two consecutive SI covers was Tyra Banks in 1996 and 1997, according to ABC News. The remarkably young bombshell has built quite the resume over the past year, appearing on the cover of Vogue Italia and Vogue U.K., as well as spreads in V Magazine and American Vogue.
The 2013 SI Swimsuit Issue is also said to feature other high profile up-and-comers, such as Danish model Nina Agdal, Alabama beauty Katherine Webb, and Hannah Davis (also known as Derek Jeter’s main squeeze), according to Forbes. We think it’s safe to say that if we needed anymore motivation to hit the gym in preparation for summer, we may have found it with this line-up of beach beauties.
