J Biebs, Ne-Yo, T-Swift. No, we’re not just rattling off our guy (and girl) crushes. We’re going through our iPhones trying to relive our epically UNREAL Friday night!!
Want to know how you pack so much talent and unfathomably good looks into one evening? I’ll give you a hint: it takes a mammoth space (think Madison Square Garden) and our besties at UNREAL candy. With a lineup of epic proportions, including the aforementioned and our personal favorite, Fun., Z100’s Jingle Ball was an incredible jam-packed day and night!!
Early Friday morning, Taylor and I flew out to JFK where we were whisked away by a private driver (see the Campus Cutie below) to The Dream Downtown (aka one of the swankiest hotels – ever). At check in we grabbed our bag of all-natural UNREAL candy from the front desk and rushed to our rooms to touch up and refuel before the unreal day officially commenced.
After eating an embarrassing amount of UNREAL candy (think delish peanut butter cups made with real peanut butter and real cocoa beans) we hopped on the shuttle to the Hammerstein Ballroom to check out the Coca-Cola All-Access Lounge where we posed for some hilarious photos (see Exhibit A with our favorite UNREAL morph man and B, a delightfully awkward family photo, both below).
Cut to Jingle Ball. We arrived early trying to beat the crowd and, as you’ll see below, we weren’t the only ones with the same high hopes!! It was tight with everyone pushing through but the excitement was UNREAL ;-). Eventually we made it to our seats, made friends with fans of all ages from 8 to 38, and counted down until One Direction took the stage. Equal parts sweet and foreign (those accents!), they set the tone for what was an amazing evening.
The rest of the night was just like a who’s who of top 40 with amazing performances from collegiette-approved artists including B.O.B., Cher Lloyd, Ed Sheeran, Fun., Jason Mraz, Justin Bieber, Ne-Yo, Olly Murs, One Direction, Taylor Swift and The Wanted. Quite an UNREAL lineup!!
