Prepare yourself, collegiettes: the 2013 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is coming.
The show took place Wednesday night in New York City, complimented with performances by Fall Out Boy and Taylor Swift. Taylor wore a striking Union Jack costume for her opening performance – but that definitely wasn’t the end of the costuming magic!
One of the show’s highlights was the debut of the $10.5 million Fantasy Bra, modeled during the “British Invasion” section of the show by Candice Swanepoel. This year, the bra was dubbed the “Royal Fantasy Bra” and, created in Mouawad, the bra and matching belt featured over 4,200 gems, including rubies, diamonds, and yellow sapphires set in 18-carot gold with a 52-carat ruby at the center.
Neon Trees took a turn performing during the “Pink” section of the show, and Taylor rounded out the show with a performance of “I Know You Were Trouble” during the final section, “Snow Angels.” She even took her own turn on the catwalk in an embellished sequin mini.
Even if you didn’t score an exclusive seat at the show in NYC, you can still watch all those flawless model and fun performances when the show airs on CBC on December 10th. We know we can’t wait to tune in!
