7 Halloween Costumes Inspired by ‘Pretty Little Liars’

As any PLL fan will know, there are tons of gorgeous outfits in the show. But what about Halloween costumes? Aside from the obvious choices of dressing as A, Red Coat or the Liars themselves, here are some more ideas inspired by the past four seasons of Pretty Little Liars!

1. Lady Gaga

Take note of Alison’s costume from season two and dress up as Lady Gaga this year! There are tons of ways to wear this costume, as Lady Gaga has an abundance of different, creative looks – consider replicating a wacky (fake) meat dress, her mermaid costume from the VMAs or a painted face and textured jacket from her “Just Dance” music video.

2. Pocahontas

Mix Disney with PLL and go for a Pocahontas costume! Look to Emily’s costume from season two for inspiration: all you need is an earthy-colored dress, moccasins or boots, braids, a headband and a few other woodsy accessories like beaded necklaces and long earrings.

3. Mary, Queen of Scots

Spencer definitely wins for most elaborate costume of season two! Throw together an intricate long dress, a wig if necessary and, of course, a crown! Add some flashy jewels or a scepter for an extra touch.

4. Early Britney Spears

Hanna’s take on Britney Spears in season two was right on the nose. As long as you have a white shirt, a light blue or gray cardigan, a plaid pleated skirt and braided hair, you can pull off the early Britney Spears look!

5. Daisy from The Great Gatsby

This costume is both timely and easy! Dress as Daisy Buchanan (or any other flapper) with a sparkly, loose-fitting, short dress; dangling earrings; a headband and heels!

6. Marilyn Monroe

Hanna totally nailed her Marilyn costume in season three – and can we just talk about how amazing her hair looked? The Marilyn look is a pretty simple one to achieve – all you need is a blonde wig, red lipstick, a white mid-calf skater dress and heels!

7. A 1920s Mobster

Take a different route this year and dress as a sexy 1920s mobster, just like Emily! Emily wore a cobalt pinstripe dress with a plunging neckline, a slit skirt, and a figure-accentuating cummerbund. Don’t forget the hat and collar for an extra touch!

If you’re going for something creative yet relatively simple to pull off, these PLL-inspired costumes offer a great variety for you to choose from!
