5 Shows We’ll Definitely Keep Watching Next Year

2014 has been a pretty great year for television. And while we’re still mourning the loss of a few new favorites that vanished way too quickly (R.I.P. Selfie and A to Z) and anticipating some midseason series premieres (we’re looking at you iZombie and Agent Carter), we wanted to highlight the shows that premiered in 2014 that we’ll definitely be watching when they return in the new year. Below are five that we can’t wait to see new episodes from in 2015.

1. How to Get Away with Murder

Murder. Lies. Hook-ups. HTGAWM has everything we need but still leaves us wanting more. We may have found out who murdered Sam in the show’s midseason finale, but we are anxiously awaiting the sure-to-be dramatic fallout.

Returns Thursday, January 29

2. Marry Me

Who knew being engaged could be this hilarious? Annie and Jake are the adorable centerpiece to this stellar comedic ensemble. We more often than not find ourselves in tears laughing over this group’s shenanigans. Just wait until the wedding planning begins!

Return date TBA

3. The Flash

A spinoff of the consistently fantastic Arrow, this loveable superhero finds the perfect balance between saving the world and having a little fun. Now if we could just figure out what that shady Dr. Wells is up to…

Returns Tuesday, January 20

4. Chasing Life

Though April—the amazing Italia Ricci!—is caught in a love triangle with two handsome and charming men, it’s her struggle with cancer that makes this show heartwarming and keeps us coming back for more.

Returns Monday, January 19

5. Jane the Virgin

We were skeptical of the premise just like everyone else was, but the story of Jane’s accidental insemination and the charismatic cast she surrounds herself with gives this show plenty of heart and humor. And can’t we all agree that we already know who Jane will end up with?

Returns Monday, January 19

Now that we’re attached to this line-up, we’re waiting not-so-patiently for season two renewals. Which new TV shows were your favorites in 2014, collegiettes?
