Usually when we think of a professor, an image of an Albert Einstein look-alike comes to mind. Maybe he’s wearing a tweed suit, a bow tie, or bifocals. But with sites like Rate My Professor judging instructors on their hotness level as regularly as on their teaching skill, it’s no surprise that this image is becoming passé. There are a number of professors today who are adored by students for their teaching ability AND their personal style. The ladies we’ve chosen are part of this new class of professor. They are smart, driven women who excel in their field and look great while doing it.
1. Dr. Jean-Marie Dauplaise
School: University of Wisconsin - Stout
Why she’s on our list: Dr. Dauplaise is a woman who is serious about her work, but also finds a way to look impeccable every day.
Students say: “Dr. Dauplaise is the best teacher that I have ever had. I have always hated English and she made it fun and interesting, and helped me learn a lot.”
2. Dr. Lesley Yoder
School: Boston University
Why she’s on our list: Dr. Yoder has a simple, well-fitting style that any collegiette ™ could mirror.
Students say: “It's very unlike me to look forward to attending class, but somehow, Dr. Yoder did such a fantastic job putting together her curriculum and presenting it in extremely interesting ways, that I found myself looking forward to every class throughout the semester. Great class!”

3. Anna Marie Hibble
School: San Francisco State University
Why she’s on our list: With her dark, curly hair, Professor Hibble’s personal style is laid back, but her teaching style is a bit more structured.
Students say: “She's strict, and doesn't put up with any bull, but she really wants her students to become better writers and help them succeed!! Don't take this class if you expect a small work load, you have homework every night.”
4. Dr. Brendesha Tynes
School: University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
Department: Educational Psychology and African American Studies
Why she’s on our list: Dr. Tynes magically finds trendy fashion that is also completely work-appropriate. Clinton and Stacy would be proud.

5. Dr. Jennifer Aaker
School: Stanford University
Why she’s on our list: Dr. Aaker’s flowing blonde waves fit right in with her California school.
Fun Fact: Dr. Aaker does research on time, money and happiness. She asks questions like, “What actually makes people happy, as opposed to what they think makes them happy?” and, “How can small acts create infectious action, and how can such effects be fueled by social media?”
6. Dr. Lisa Randall
School: Harvard University
Why she’s on our list: This busy physicist manages to be the one of smartest and hottest physics professors out there.
Students say: “World's most cited Physics Professor. Quite a big thing for any lady. But this lady deserves it all.”
7. Dr. Renee Engeln-Maddox
School: Northwestern University
Why she’s on our list: In the Midwest, Dr. Engeln-Maddox keeps it stylish in both hot and cold weather!
Students say: “One of the best teachers I’ve ever had. I think I might minor in psychology because I loved her class so much! Totally recommend her! You have to study, but she makes the material easy to understand and so much fun!”
8. Allison Jacobs
School: Georgia State University
Why she’s on our list: Hot accounting professors are few and far between, but Professor Jacobs makes it look effortless.

9. Dr. Rosalba Perna
School: University of Colorado, Boulder
Why she’s on our list: Hailing from Italy, Dr. Perna’s naturally curly hair and exotic look put her on our list.
Fun Fact: Dr. Perna was recently awarded the 2010 SIGRAV Prize, which is given every two years to an Italian astrophysicist below the age of 40 who has distinguished himself/herself for work related to gravity.
10. Amy Lynn Schiffner
School: University of Hawaii at Manoa
Department: Theatre and Dance
Why she’s on our list: Professor Schiffner’s dancer’s body and luscious locks make her one of our top eleven.
Students say: “I took this class as a required course but ended up loving it. She is very funny and really knew how to get the creativity out of us. I always looked forward to her classes.”
11. Kelly Ramella
School: Arizona State University
Department: Community Studies
Why she’s on our list: Professor Ramella’s constant smile nabbed her our final spot. After all, you're never fully dressed without one.
Students say: “This is a great class I learned a lot about people, just by attending class. Plus, Professor Ramella is smoking hot!”
