As I am sitting here, looking forward to ten days away from work, I know boredom will turn its ugly head before the time is up. However, I have a foolproof list to beat boredom whenever the problem arises. Whenever I begin to feel bored, I always try to look for a productive thing to do. I usually try to avoid anything that drains too much energy, but doing little productive things here and there really helps! I always look for challenges in my home to conquer or browse my Pinterest for a little inspiration.

Try a New Recipe

There are so many recipes that I save on my Pinterest board daily! However, I probably only try 1/4 of them! Whenever I am bored, I look for a recipe that sounds good to give a go. Some days, I am looking for something to change up my healthy eating habits. Other days, I find something full of cheese and other bad-for-you, tasty goodness!

My latest recipe: Salmon Burgers

Binge Watch a Series

This suggestion is a given. Sometimes, I am not in the mood to focus and watch TV hours on in, but when I am, I watch too much TV! If you are looking for a series to try on Netflix, Bloodlines, Wentworth, The OA, Sense8, Stranger Things and Black Mirror are all great picks! If you have seen all of these, tweet me @RepressingTay, and I’ll try to help you out!

Shows to Watch if you like Once Upon a Time or Grey’s Anatomy

Color in a Coloring Book

Coloring is making a comeback! There are so many new different coloring books for adults, the possibilities are endless! I love animal coloring books, and I have a special Harry Potter one that I adore! Don’t forget to purchase a giant thing of map pencils (you know, the one you envied when you were in elementary school).

Have a Photography Session

You don’t have to have a nice camera to do this! Sometimes, taking photos and viewing the world in another perspective is just what you need! Whether you are using your iPhone or a DSLR, it is so relaxing to take pictures of things that you love! Why do you think I have so many photos of my pups?
