Facebook. Twitter. Google Plus. Texting. The way our generation stays connected is through a cold piece of plastic. Technology is a security blanket. If we are presented with an awkward situation, such as using the elevator, we pull out our phones and pretend to check them, even if we know we have no new text messages.

One of the most controversial holidays is right around the corner: Valentine’s Day! Most people complain about being single on Valentine’s Day, but guess what, everyone hates Valentine’s Day, whether your FB relationship status is single, married, or in a civil union.

My favorite season has finally arrived! And it’s not Superbowl season (hell no!), but awards season! I mean, who wouldn’t want to dress up like glam celebs and walk the red carpet? Awards season kicked off with the Golden Globes on Sunday, Jan 15, and let me tell you, it was a very disappointing carpet, mainly because double nominee Ryan Gosling wasn’t there!
