Three Days of Hair-Do HELL.

Friday, March 5, 2010

I wanted to get my hair done. I mean I'm in NYC, how hard can it be to find someone REALLY good to make my already pretty hair GORGEOUS...

... turns out, it's pretty hard.

Tuesday:
----------
I go into this place in the Upper East Side and ask for my hair to remain brown with a HINT... and I mean a HINT of red in it... just to give it a little bit of color... After a couple of hours, I walk out of the hair salon... And head back to Midtown... I walk into the elevator at my apartment building and immediately GASP. I guess the lights in the salon make you look better than in real life because my hair was FIRE ENGINE--RONALD MCDONALD RED.

I'm talkin' BOZO THE CLOWN RED.

Wednesday:
--------------
I go back to the salon and ask them to strip the color and make it more brunette again... after two hours there, I leave the salon and go to work; my hair, a little more walk-in-public-able, but still not good. the top of my head was over processed and orange and the bottom of my locks were ASHY REDISH BROWN.

sick.

Thursday:
------------
I ask for my money back and go to a completely different salon. This guy has done famous hair, like Heidi Klum's and JLo's, so I know he can fix the disaster on my head. After talking about the situation, he decides that the only way to fix the problem is to highlight my hair... so now I am a strawberry blonde...

So no, I'm trying to get used to this new look... let me know what you think!

We'll see how it turns out... I'm not going to even wash my hair until needed... I was already planning on buying this Juicy Couture hat for spring break, but it looks like I might be needing it sooner!!!
