Mel says Relax
Lets face it, school can get really stressful. For me, academic success is a really important factor in determining my inner peace and harmony . Luckily, I have the discipline it takes to march into UCLA's library for long periods of time and study until my brain turns to mush and my eyeballs fall out.
When times get tough and school seems unbearable, me and my friends like to take refuge to the many beautiful places in L.A.

This is the Doheny mansion. We found this magical getaway upon cruising Bel Air one Saturday afternoon. It is so beautiful and has been the movie set to so many awesome blockbuster films!
The Doheny mansion is so peaceful and relaxing...
This is me and my girlfriends in front of the beautiful view that overlooks Downtown Los Angeles, Beverly Hills and Hollywood. (do you notice also that I'm wearing Juicy Couture velour pants!?)
Exploring nature and being outdoors is one way to unwind and relax after being a slave to textbooks all day. There are many other ways to enjoy a nice break, recharge, and feel rejuvenated.

Try doing yoga. Yoga is so amazing and is such a cleansing form of exercise! If you choose to get physical, make sure that you use Juicy Couture's Yoga mat and comfortable yoga clothing. It helps to be prepared with a full ensemble to get the full experience (and it doesn't hurt to look damn good either).

Sometimes, it helps to write things down. Take your frustration out on Juicy Couture stationary. Make a list of things to do or use Juicy paper as a journal.

When all else fails, talk it out! Discussing a frustrating or stressful time with someone you can trust helps ease all the negative thoughts weighing you down. When I'm super stressed, I always call my mom or my best friend. After 20 minutes or so, I feel so much better and motivated to tackle all my tasks.
What are some ways you ease the tension? I would love to hear!

Biography
My name is Mel Chalian. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. As a native to the sunny and busy city, I have always loved the hustle-bustle atmosphere. I attended a very small, private Armenian school for what I though would be my whole life. At a tiny school where I knew everyone and shared a common ethnicity, it was really easy for me to fit in. In high school, I decided to be daring and attended a really big public school. At first it was scary, but I slowly got the hang of it by getting involved. There I was a super spirited high school cheerleader, dance team captain, member of the school board and student government. Now I attend UCLA and am studying English Literature. I love reading and writing and expressing myself. I am also a member of the lovely Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority at UCLA and love my sisters more than anything! I love Juicy Couture because I can feel both casual and sexy in their clothes. Juicy was created by two good friends who both share a love for shopping and Hollywood. Its very obvious to me that these Los Angeles natives had a lot of fun creating such a fun company and the clothes reflect exactly how much fun they have! I love wearing bright colors and embracing my femininity. I love Juicy Couture because it is a luxurious and comfy clothing brand that makes me feel glamorous, flirty and stunning.
