FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Part-Time Hourly)

 

ESquared (E2) Hospitality is looking for an intern to help support the marketing department for its collection of more than 25 restaurants internationally. This opportunity will be a great resume and portfolio builder for the right candidate. The candidate will have the opportunity for hands on work in all facets of the department including marketing, public relations, social media and more.

Our intern will have the chance to be part of every aspect of opening and maintaining a restaurant from the marketing side including these expected responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Digital Manager on Digital and Social Activations for all E2 accounts, including Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, Pinterest and more.
  • Get involved with and support marketing initiatives, including e-blasts, photoshoots, and more
  • Assist in the opening of several New York-based restaurants including friends and family, opening photo shoots, internal needs and more
  • Assist on research projects for existing and newly developed concepts working for ESquared Hospitality including online and on-site market research  
  • Work with the VP of PR to identify, write and directly communicate with press for targeted pitching and press

REQUIREMENTS

  • Social Media expertise is a must: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest
  • Microsoft Office expertise is a must: Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • A candidate who has experience with Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop and video editing is a huge plus, but not required for the right person
  • An interest in (or learning about) restaurants, marketing & PR is required
  • Passion for food & cooking, giving the ability to contribute to the recipe blog would be a huge plus, but not required for the right candidate
  • Strong presentation & communication skills required, both written and verbal
  • Must demonstrate the ability to both take feedback & direction, as well as being able to be innovative and a self-starter
