Lose the Freshman 15: Don’t Let Numbers Get You Down

Hey ladies!

The final week of the program is here!  With my final blog post right around the corner (tear), I found myself feeling a little disappointed in myself. After all, I’ve only lost five pounds so far on the Self Drop 10 plan despite my hard work.

After beating myself up, day in and day out, one of my co-workers complimented me on the changes she noticed and told me my hard work was definitely paying off. That’s when I realized: it’s not about the numbers.

Since I’ve started the Self program I’ve noticed a drastic difference in my health. Not only is my fitness endurance up, but I’m actually a lot stronger than I was before. My skin looks and feels great as a result of all the yummy nutrients that are now in my diet and I have SO much more energy than I did before.  So what is there to be disappointed about?

While I still plan to work at losing the full freshman 15 once the program is over, I’ve learned so much in the past couple of weeks and have gained a great support system that I know I will continue to have in the future (shout out to the other LTF15 girls and our awesome facebook messages!)

So if you ladies are feeling down that you haven’t shed a dramatic amount of weight since the beginning of your program. Focus on the other positives and you’ll find that the good definitely outweighs the bad!
