Why Choose Niagara?
"I absolutely fell in love with the campus when I came to visit. The architecture of the old building, the samll beautiful campus. It has a very homey and serene feeling to it that I just loved."
"I couldn't place myself at a big school. I would just get lost in the cracks. This school is small which allows me to get to know people, build connections, and have better access to my professors which I feel is very important."
"I am a Theatre Major, and when I came to visit the school I just fell in love with the department. I had seen some of their productions before applying here, and it really inspired me."
"This is a D1 school. Sports is my life and I wanted to be at a school that had good athletics."
"This school has a really good nursing program that I felt I would really benefit from."
"We are right here on the Falls, which if you think about it is pretty amazing. Not a lot off people can say they have such a beautiful site right in their backyard."
"The fact that we are 5 minutes away from the Canadian boarder. I had never left the country before until I came to NU. Easy access and a great time."
"I'm a huge workout buff, and I love nature. So the gorge trail is one of our schools hidden gems. To just go and take in nature is amazing.
"We have a really amazing museum right here on campus. I go any chance I get just to take in the art."
"Our campus is really small which I love. My roommates might hate me for this, but the fact that I can hit the snooze button until literally 5 minutes before my class starts, and still make it there in time is pretty sweet. The short distance to classes is a godsend, especially when winter comes around."
"Although I adore this school, the parking is really bad. They should allow students to park in the faculty lots at least after 6 on weekdays, and on the weekends, or stop letting Freshman have cars on campus until they are Sophmores. There really isn't enough parking to accommadate us, and having to park in Dwyer during the brutal winter is not okay."
"Plowing and salting the side walks! I can't tell you how many times I have beefed it during the winters because there isn't enough salt on the walk ways, or when the walk ways aren't plowed at all."
"The dinning hours. I think they sometimes forget that students actually live on campus, and therefore need to eat on the weekends."
"More gally gold!! I eat way more at gally than I do at clet, and with the high price of food in gally, what we get in gally gold just isn't enough."
"Central air please!! The dorm rooms turn into complete saunas when we first come back to school. The heat is horrible."
New Collegiette On Campus

"I am from the City, and it was a real shock to see how friendly people are. It was a major culture shock for me, but I loved it. It's nice to have people really care about you, and really interested in seeing how your day was."
"There is a place for everyone at this school. It is like one big family, and everyone knows everyone."
"The professors are absolutely amazing. They go above and beyond for their students. I would be lost without them."
"Best for years of your life at the best school. So many wonderful people!"
All About Academics
"I am a Political Science major, and this school is really hands on with great internship opportunities. Classes are mostly lecture based, but the proffesors do engage with their students so make sure you always do the readings!"
"This is a really small campus, which means the classes are really small as well! It is a major pro, becuase you get to know your professors and they really help you understand the content."
"Professors expect a lot of you, so there is absolutely no slacking off. You have to utilize every minnute you are not it class."
"There is a lot of out of class work that I did not expect when I came to college. A lot of important guest speakers and lectures that your professors expect you to go to. They want you engaged at all times which is really nice and it opens your eyes to a lot of things. I have learned so much since being here."
"You will live in the library when you come here. Professors love to give out a lot of research papers and the sourses and tools that the library provides is essential to doing a good job. Luckily your professors for the most part let you pick a research topic that really interests you, so it is not too painful to write of research."

"Everyone should take the Public Speaking Course. You are learning from the best when you take this class. I have always been terrified at public speaking, but hte skills I have learned in this class has really helped me and I did not think that would ever be possible."
"I study International Relations, and I have to say the Dr. Lee and all of the professors in that department are amazing. They really go above and beyond and really make you think and take in what you are studying. You are not just memorizing information. You are forming your own opinions and then backing them up with the content that you learn. They have changed my life."
Interests & Involvement
"Getting involved is the best thing you can do when coming to NU. Joining a sorority is the best choice I made! People believe the stereotypes about sororitites, butt do not realize what a tight knit community we actually are. The major componant of sorority is our focus on Service and Giving. We give back to our community with our dedication to community service and philanthropy events, while building a bond with our sisters and learning the meaning of sisterhood which is love, and encouragment."
"NU is really big on giving back to the community. With the Shoe Sandal project, and what campus ministries offering countless opportunities such as going to the soup kitchen, there are many things to do to get involved."
"This is a D1 school, but we have a lot of club sports too to get involved with. Our Rugby team is really great!"

"Going to our games is an amazing experience. You wont regret it."
"We are just as crazy about our club sports as we are about our D1 sports. We give team spirit to everyone and are always down to drop what we are doing to go see a game."
"Rugby and Hockey are really where its at! Those games really put you in the zone and the players really play hard."
"The students here are really into women's rights, and always working to make this school more welcoming to women."
"There are a lot more girls at this school than guys. It allowes us to build relationships with one another and really encourage each other to accomplish our goals instead of challenging or one upping one another. It really is nice."
"People don't usually think Girl Power when they hear sorority, but it really is girl power. Its about leadership, encouragment, and love for your fellow woman."
"We have a women studies minor here at this school, and the amount of boys and girls that take those classees shows you that girl power is something that the men and women at this school really respects."
"Girls at this school aren't afraid to put themselves out there and do things that are typically considered manly. Joining the Rugby team, getting involved in the sports teams, and puersuing feilds such as Bio and accounting. It really is encouraging.

You have the Varsity Villages which is a small house that looks like a cottage. Some have a kitchen and they all have a common area. Then we have the towers that have doubles and triples, and then have building that have singles. Something for everyone."
"I love dorming. You are right here on campus and connected to everything. Its a real college experience."
"I have always lived in triples and I love it. More room and a nice little hallway."
"I love dorming, especially since I moved to the apartments. Nice to have your own space and you don't have to answer to anyone about decorations, because it's completely your own."
