Why Choose Juniata College?
"I chose Juniata College because of the close-knit, friendly environment. Class sizes are small, which allows for more individualized attention from professors. As a prospective student, I liked the idea that Juniata College is a liberal arts school. I was able to explore all my interests before finding the perfect major (or program of emphasis)!"
"I chose Juniata because it just felt right! I visited over a dozen schools and Juniata was the last college I visited. As soon as I began to interact with the faculty, staff, and students on Juniata's campus, I knew it was the perfect place for me. Juniata is truly a friendly, community-oriented place. They have the perfect blend of rigorous academics and a fun, supportive atmosphere. I couldn't be happier here!"
"Juniata is a division three school, which was very important to me. Division three athletics offer the perfect opportunity for a serious academic environment paired with competitive athletics. I love being a student-athlete at Juniata!"
"Coming from a large high school, I wasn't sure on whether or not I would like the small size of Juniata College; however, I quickly realized that the small-school atmosphere is my favorite part about being a student here. I really enjoy meeting all the students and faculty. Additionally, Juniata has several traditions that help students get to know each other. My favorite tradition is Mountain Day, which occurs once a year, usually in September or October, and all classes are cancelled for the day. The most exciting part about this tradition is that you never know what day Mountain Day will be until about 5 o'clock in the morning when people start knocking on your door while yelling, 'It's Mountain Day! Go back to sleep!'"
"Juniata's community atmosphere is one of its best features. Although you won't know everyone by name here, you will know their face. The faculty know your name, and the staff go out of their way to be helpful. It sounds too good to be true, doesn't it? Just come here for a visit, you will see what I mean."
"I love Juniata's location. The rural area is absolutely breathtaking during every season, and Raystown Lake is so close by! We are within driving distance of many metropolitan areas that offer plenty of different things to do."
