Looking for an Infinity Scarf?

Sunday, January 31, 2010

I love scarves. I’ll wear them through any season, as I think they can work with almost anything. But despite my love of scarves, I had not yet found an infinity scarf that I loved. I envied Mary Kate Olsen’s style—I feel like she introduced me to infinity scarves—but couldn’t find one that really fit me.

The Donni Charm "donni forever" scarf really caught my eye because of the charm sewn onto it. I never really thought about it before, but one thing I dislike about scarves is that you can’t see a person’s necklace when they’re wearing a scarf, and I love necklaces.

The charm is delicate and when the knotted part of the scarf (where the charm is) is worn on to the side, the charm adds a feminine touch and can glam up the scarf. Plus it compensates for the lack of a visible necklace. I personally liked the angel wing charm, which reminds me of a very similar necklace that I have.

On a practical level the scarf is really warm and soft. The creators, students at the University of Arizona, chose a perfect material that will keep you nice and warm, but doesn’t leave you sweaty like a lot of wool scarves will. It is fairly versatile—you could wear it in the freezing cold or on a cool summer night. Some of the fabric colors can be purchased in metallic colors, which can also dress up a simple t-shirt when you’re rushing off to class.

If you’re looking for a stylish forever scarf definitely check out Donni Charm available HERE for $85.

Awesome!

This is really neat, I never have seen a scarf with a little charm like that and I really like how it adds a surprising little detail. I found a few ways to tie a circle scarfon StumbleUpon that I thought were really helpful.

Cool!

Cool scarf! I have the "scarf-or-necklace" debate pretty often, too, so I think this might be right for me, too.
