Jump Start Your Singing Career

Old Navy has had some really catchy commercial jingles — they’ve definitely gotten caught in my head before, and I’m sure I’m not alone in that. So they know what they’re doing when it comes to music — and now they’re seeing which fans of theirs know music AND Old Navy.

The clothing store has teamed up with BreakoutBand for this awesome contest for the second time: the Old Navy Records Song Challenge! And I just had to share with you HC readers!

To enter, all you have to do is create an Old Navy-themed song on BreakoutBand, inspired by their latest commercial which features the song BBQ-T. You can sing the song like karaoke, remix it using BreakoutBand’s BBQ-T beat kit, or even really show off your skills by writing and recording an original song.

Once you record it and submit it your friends can “like” it on the BreakoutBand website. The number of likes will translate into 50% of your song’s score (the other 50% of the criteria is based off input from the Old Navy judges).

The winner will be presented on the Old Navy Facebook fan page (the second through fifth place songs will be featured on their Old Navy’s Twitter!). Major exposure!!!

Plus all contestants will get some Breakout Bucks which can be used on BreakoutBand — which all of you aspiring songmakers have to check out. It's an awesome site where you can create original music and launch your fanbase. Perfect for anyone eager to be the next Adele, Lady Gaga or Taylor Swift!
