What would you do with 15 hours of battery life? Tell Microsoft to win a free laptop!

Hey collegiettes!™

Ever find yourself fighting over the lone power outlet in the lecture hall because your laptop battery is dying (yet again)?  Not to fear -- there's a new laptop on the block that offers up to a ridiculous 15 hours of battery life with the addition of a (very sleek, very light) sheet battery!  It's the gorgeous Sony VAIO S Series PC!

Here's the best part: leave a comment on the Windows blog (not on Her Campus!) answering the question "What would you do with 15 hours of battery life?" and you'll be entered for a chance to win one for yourself, along with the sheet battery!  What are you waiting for??

As for me, the sweet folks over at Sony recently sent me one of these guys in pink (SCORE!!!) plus the sheet battery to review (check out my quick unboxing video below), and just in time to accompany me to an Intel tech conference I'll be attending later this week!  Here I am cradling my new toy:

I can't wait to bust this out on the plane ride to and from Santa Clara, and kill the hours with a combination of:

  • Watching movies, Korean dramas, and catching up on Parks & Recreation
  • Mad Photoshop- and InDesign-ing
  • Maybe even playing Starcraft (!!)

My goal is to figure out just how tough this baby is in terms of battery life and performance!  Stay tuned, and don't forget to enter to win the laptop for yourself!  Make sure you leave a comment with Microsoft, not on Her Campus!

What I would do with 15 hours of battery life

With 15 hours of battery life, I would beat my own personal writing record of 8 pages in two days. I would pull an all-nighter in order to finish my honors thesis! :D Then during my 4 A.M. high, I would update my Facebook status to say "Yeah, I did it! :P" Academic power and bragging rights! Now that's what I call a laptop.

What would I do with 15 hours of battery?

To have a laptop that had a battery span of 15 hours I would be able to enjoy my 6 1/2 hour bus ride to my college and back for those weekend trips home to see my family. I'd be able to complete one of my 25+ page studies in one night at the library without have the hassle of cords. It would even get me through all of my classes and labs, which my current laptop cannot do, in one charge. To have a 15 hour battery packs, means only having to be plugged into a wall while it's sleeping to charge up for the next day - which would let me travel to the beautiful city spots around my college, go to my job at the help desk, and skype from anyplace I wanted.

WITH 15 HOURS OF BATTERY LIFE I WOULD...

THANK YOU so much:)!!! I have been needing a latop FOREVER i have never owned one (or a personal computer I use a shared one at home, a friend's, and library ones) and with school and everything i cant really afford one but i really do need one and The macbook is my dream laptop THANK YOU so much you are sooo A-M-A-Z-I-N-G :)!!!15 HOURS? Wow that is a lot! I would be able to FINALLY be able to concentrate fully on my papers and take my time writing them and making them perfect because usually I am rushing to get off of the computers I use so someone else can use them. PLUS, in the relaxing time I have before bed I will be able to check my twitter and facebook accounts on a good size screen instead of the tiny one of my phone THANK YOU:)!!!

What I would do with this.

I almost didn't get to to go the college of my dreams because of the price tag. I sacrificed the computer I really wanted, for the school I really wanted. So, what would I do with 15 hours of battery life? I'd finally have the computer I needed to be successful in college, I have a completely wireless campus and will not be spending much time in my dorm, with 15 hours of battery life I wouldn't have to worry about lugging around my charger all the time to give my battery life.

World's Best Multitasker

I would be able to bring my multitasking to the next level. I would--
1. Organize the Alumni Events at my University
2. Work on responding to all the emails at my job in the Admissions Office
3. Keep a running list of the things to do on my computer instead of on 1000 sticky notes
4. Kick butt in all of my Marketing classes with a fully functioning laptop
5. Keep in touch with all of my study abroad friends all over the country/world since my webcam only works when it feels like it
6. Watch 30 Rock and the Office on Hulu
All at the same time :)

watch trueblood and keep up

watch trueblood and keep up to date with all my artwork stuff and bloggin projects!

15 hours of freedom!!!

With 15 hours of Life I would download all the kindle books and games I want!! Then I would probably buy some new boots, afterwards i would probably go through buyers remorse but the 15 hours of battery life would make me feel a little better about it..... After all thats 15 hours of me not being confined to my desk because it has an outlet close by!!

What WOULDNT I do?!

Ok lets be honest.....i could easily spend 15 hours procrastinating without batting an eyelash. So what would I do with 15 hours of battery life? Take my procrastination to locations free of outlets. Like that obscure table in the library that's always empty because nobody wants to be without facebook while at the lib. Or that cafe that has free internet but nobody uses because there's one outlet.......ahhh the possibilities!

15 Hours of Battery Life...

If I had 15 hours of battery life on my computer I sure as hell wouldn't be wasting as much time! By wasting time I mean wandering the library looking for a chair that's close to an outlet, trudging back to my room for my charger in the New Hampshire snow or waiting for a Library computer while my own personal laptop sits dead and useless on a table nearby!
