You can’t go a day without hearing something impressive about Taylor Swift. We’ve always got one of her songs stuck in our heads, whether it’s one of her old classics or new hits. So, it’s no surprise that it was just revealed she is the top earning celebrity of 2016.
Forbes recently revealed their annual Celebrity 100 list, which ranks the highest-earning celebs in the world. Swift unsurprisingly took the top spot, earning over $170 million since the beginning of 2016. In second place is the now disbanded One Direction, with a whopping $110 million. The second highest earning celebrity female came in as Adele, who earned $80.5 million—nothing to complain about!
This is a big change from the reported $80 million Taylor raked in last year. And we’re sure she’s earned it! Between her sold-out 1989 World Tour, music royalties, and campaigns with big names like Apple and Coca-Cola, Swift has been working hard. We can only imagine what the rest of 2016 is going to look like for her!
