On Monday night, an unidentified suspect hurled a “lit object” into the Kardashians’ Dash boutique on Melrose Avenue in LA. According to the Los Angeles Times, a passerby reported the incident to the police at around 11:20 p.m. and deputies arrived shortly after to investigate.
Thankfully, the object, which was later revealed to be a “weighted, burning rag,” caused no significant damage to the structure or anyone nearby. Still, police say that crowds of paparazzi have gathered at the location since the attempted arson, which is to be expected.
To date, none of the Kardashians has commented on the incident and no arrests have been made, but Los Angeles County Fire officials confirmed early Tuesday morning that a suspect has been taken into custody.
Police reports indicate that this is the first known attack on the boutique, which first opened back in 2012.
