The Official ‘Gilmore Girls’ Revival Trailer is Here & We’re Sobbing

With only one month until Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life hits Netflix, the streaming service released the first official trailer for the four-part event today, and it is filled with all the laughs and heartwarming moments you’ve come to expect from your favorite mother-daughter duo and their wacky band of friends and family.

You’ll notice Luke is still the same ‘ole lovable curmudgeon Lorelai (and you) fell in love with. Emily and the girls are dealing with Richard’s death in ways that already have us crying. Rory is living “rootless,” and all three of her former BFs make an appearance in the trailer. (We can debate what Jess having the longest feature in the trailer means at a later time.) And it wouldn’t be Gilmore Girls if there weren’t plenty of fresh pop culture references and fast-talking.

There’s a sense that things have certainly changed in the lives of the Gilmore clan (Kirk has even landed an invite to Friday night dinner), but the core things we love about the show are obviously still there. Just watch for yourself, and experience the waves of nostalgia.
