An Offensive Kim Kardashian Robbery Halloween Costume Exists—Please Don’t Dress Up As This

With Halloween approaching, some people are looking to capitalize on Kim Kardashian’s robbery in a sick and insensitive manner. This year, costumeish.com is selling a “Parisian Heist Robbery Victim Costume Kit,” and it’s just as awful as you’d expect. For $69.99, a person can dress as Kim supposedly appeared when she was held at gunpoint in Paris—and we really hope that this costume has poor sales.

Not only is the costume incredibly offensive (not just to Kim, but to women everywhere), the product description is equally as bad, if not worse. The company seems to attack Kim and play off the seriousness of the situation.

“She has devoted her life to promoting American decadence, youth, and hedonism but all that flashy living caught up with her one night in Paris when armed men bound her, stole her jewelry and her peace of mind. This Halloween have some fun with pop culture and dress just like the Queen of Social media with our sensational ‘Parisian Heist Robbery Victim Costume’ Costume.”

Making light of a situation where a woman is bound and gagged while she fears rape and her life as she’s held at gunpoint is a new low. This is a pathetic attempt to gain profits at the expense of someone who was wrongfully attacked, and we hope that people in need of a Halloween costume search elsewhere.
