Nicki Minaj Finally Joined Snapchat With a Little Help From Her Fans

Normally celebrities are super savvy when it comes to social media—or at least, their PR teams are. Snapchat is the latest platform celebs have been using to communicate with fans and show their daily lives, but Nicki Minaj had a tough time figuring out the app when she joined this weekend. And I mean, like, a really tough time.

It didn’t take long for her fans to come to the rescue. From figuring out how to make her profile public to choosing the emoji for her celebrity account, Nicki’s Twitter followers were quick to give her the rundown and a few tutorials. Mostly The Kingdom was just excited she was finally going to be on the platform.

It definitely took some trial and error, which included a flood of messages and calls from fans after making her profile public. On Instagram Nicki gave a quick glimpse into what it’s really like having a public Snapchat account. Spoiler: It seems like actual hell. “Omgggggggg why y’all doin this to me? Candice can’t even help me. They gotta call Snapchat now,” Nicki wrote in an Instagram caption. In the video, she’s clearly overwhelmed by the nonstop calls, snaps and messages—including some that demand that Nicki pay their tuition

But pretty soon it seems like she figured it out, posting her first snap to her story, and I’ve honestly never seen people get so hype about a video of an ocean.

Looks like she’s on a roll now, though, getting so advanced that she posted a pic from her camera roll too.

Now that she’s a total pro, I can’t wait to follow Nicki and watch her blossom into the Snapchat queen I know she can be.
