Taylor Swift and acid…yeah, we never thought we’d see those two topics in the same sentence either. However, a musician who goes by the name Father John Misty recently described an acid trip that happened while at a T. Swift concert in Australia.
In a interview with Rolling Stone, the indie singer, whose real name is Josh Tillman, provided all the insane details from his experience. “The last time I took a hero’s dose of LSD was at a Taylor Swift concert in Australia. She was playing in Melbourne, and I met a bunch of people from her crew at a bar, and they invited me to the show,” Tillman said.
Following the acid trip, Tillman described his escapade at Tay’s concert. According to him, attending the show while under the influence altered his whole perspective of the performance. “It was holy. It was psychedelic. She fully impregnated my dilated soul with her ideology.” Umm, what?!? We’re pretty sure we’ve never heard anyone say that about a Taylor Swift show.
And even though Tillman recalled “laughing uncontrollably,” he later called Taylor “dangerous.” During the show, Taylor spoke to her adoring Swifties, telling them that she’s a regular person just like them. Tillman clearly didn’t agree with her comments because he called her out for perpetuating a false narrative. “This insistence on telling girls, ‘I’m normal, don’t let anyone tell you what you should be'” is damaging to fans, according to Tillman.
“It’s a very, very false normal. And that’s dangerous,” he added. Whoa, that’s a sweeping statement, especially considering that millions of girls look up to Taylor.
