Mindy Kaling has always been a queen on The Mindy Project, and she proved it yet again when she both shaded the city of Newark and Sen. Cory Booker — and yet still landed a date. He snapped back on Twitter with disapproval at her character in the show and sparked a conversation that we can’t get enough of.

While it might all be elaborate advertising for the city of Newark and Mindy’s show, we can’t help but hope that Mindy and Cory will be fine dining somewhere in Newark this weekend. We wish we could flirt this well on Twitter. Or at least learn how to shade and land a date with a guy in one fell swoop.
