It’s been ten years since Hannah Montana first premiered on the Disney Channel. Yes, a decade ago Miley Cyrus introduced us to the exciting yet crazy world of a teenager trying to juggle two very different lives.
She has come a long way since her days of playing a student by day and pop star by night, but Cyrus took to social media yesterday to commemorate her time on the show.
“Sending love to all my cast members on this anniversary,” she wrote to caption a photo of herself wearing a blonde wig. “To the world it’s a celebration of 10 years but for us the journey began way before the world had any clue who the fuck any of us are.”
Although Miley has made quite the effort to detach herself from her Disney Channel past, it was lovely to see her paying tribute to the show in this way. We figure the saying holds true—you never forget where you came from.
