Matthew Perry Literally Has Nightmares About a ‘Friends’ Reboot

If you’re a diehard Friends fan, the never-ending reboot rumors must be a dream come true. But for Matthew Perry, they’re more of a nightmare. The actor revealed in an interview with Variety that he’s nervous AF just thinking about the possibility of a revival.

“When I’m asleep, I have this nightmare that we do Friends again and nobody cares,” Matthew said. “We do a whole series, we come back, and nobody cares about it.” It’s a shocking concern to have, but it’s also fair—it has been nearly 15 years since the show last aired.

Matthew even went so far as to say he would turn down any offer to come back as Chandler Bing. “If anybody asks me, I’m gonna say no. The thing is: We ended on such a high. We can’t beat it. Why would we go and do it again?”

Even if a Friends revival did happen, Matthew wouldn’t be there, and we all know Friends needs its Chandler. I guess the show will always be a thing of the past—something we can look back on when we’re feeling nostalgic and need a good laugh. But it’d be easier if you just ripped my heart out, honestly.
