Lady Gaga has been dating Christian Carino since February, and according to Us Weekly, the couple is secretly engaged! But is it true?
Us claims the 48-year-old talent agent asked Gaga’s father for permission before proposing to her over the summer. However, Gossip Cop, a site known for debunking celebrity rumors, says this is false. “We’re exclusively assured it’s simply ‘untrue,'” the site reported, adding that they checked in with a representative from Gaga’s team.
Based on how long Gaga’s previous relationship lasted, I’m not sure how likely it is that she’d get engaged so soon. The pop star was engaged to actor Taylor Kinney and dated him for five years before they broke up in July 2016. Gaga has kept her current relationship under wraps, so it’d be hard to know if she and Carino are even thinking about marriage.
For now, Lady Gaga is focused on her health. The singer suffers from fibromyalgia and had to cancel the European leg of her Joanne World Tour because of severe pain. She also canceled her Rock in Rio performance after being hospitalized with symptoms caused by the chronic disease.
We may not know for sure if Lady Gaga is engaged, but regardless, I wish her the best with her relationship and her health.
