Between Cardi B and Offset’s secret wedding (which we totally get) and Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson’s sudden engagement, it’s been difficult to keep up with all the celebrity relationship news. We can’t even get our Bumble matches to message back (though that might be because we keep asking them what their stance is on Chris Evans’ ever-changing facial hair). But love is certainly in the air in Hollywood and apparently, Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin aren’t immune because they’re reportedly engaged. (Now, we’re just wondering if Insta-sleuthing their social media accounts counts as doing a thing.)
According to TMZ, the duo apparently got engaged on July 7 at a resort in the Bahamas. The two were allegedly dancing at a restaurant at the resort before Bieber asked Hailey to marry him.
While Hailey and Justin haven’t made any formal announcement regarding their alleged engagement, Teen Vogue notes that the two have been cozied up with each other for the last several weeks, including donning matching outfits. (Uh, where do we find someone who’s willing to match our fashion backwardness forwardness?)
The couple hasn’t posted anything explicitly to DTR to the public and their followers—however, Hailey did sleuth-bait us with a video of a ring on her Instagram Story yesterday.
In the video, Baldwin says, “It’s official.” Shortly thereafter, she follows up with, “I said yes.”
We get it: the yes is probably, definitely in reference to her alleged engagement, but Hailey could have also said yes to a diamond-coated present to herself (because even celebs treat themselves). Granted, E! News reports that Hailey was spotted wearing the same ring in the Bahamas this weekend.
We hope Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin will officially confirm or deny these engagement rumors soon, so we can give our Insta-creepy ways a rest. (Because even we need a hiatus from our Insta investigations.)
