For most of us, that Hogwarts acceptance letter is long overdue. It turns out, though, that we might have been waiting for a letter from the wrong school. And no, we don’t mean Durmstrang or Beauxbatons. J.K. Rowling, who’s been helping us keep our love for Harry Potter alive, has just revealed the locations of four new schools in Brazil, Japan, Africa and yes, North America.
The Brazilian students at Castelobruxo are known to be skilled at Herbology and Magizoology, which is fitting given the school is hidden away in a rainforest. At Uagado, the school in Africa, students are able to practice magic with their hands. Japan’s Mahoutokoro is the most exclusive school; the students there are also especially talented at Quidditch, as their practices are held over tumultuous waters.
As for Ilvermorny, details are still to come. A map seems to show the school is located on the East Coast, but what we really want to know is whether they take mid-year transfer students.
