Disney Asked Miley Cyrus for a ‘Hannah Montana’ Revival & She Turned It Down

In case you were hoping Hannah Montana, a.k.a. one of the most the *iconic* shows of our childhood, would make its return to Disney, don’t hold your breath: Miley Cyrus has already been asked about the project – and turned it down.

In an interview with Zach Sang, the ‘Malibu’ singer said that Disney has already inquired about a possible revival or spinoff. “Dude, I had to go to Disney the other day to promote. You know, that was the first thing they said, because Raven’s back,” she said, in reference to the upcoming That’s So Raven spinoff.

“It’s a lot of time to be spent with my dad,” she explained. “My dad was my dad on the show. I have enough dad time. That was really hard every day from like 11 to 18 spending, I didn’t get a school escape like most people. I went to work with my dad.”

Fair enough, as I don’t think 13-year-old me would have been about that life either. Miley goes on to explain that her grandmother also came to set with she and Billy Ray every day, summing up the whole situation with, “That’s why as soon as I turned 18, you guys wonder why I was twerking at Juicy J shows. I’d just spent 10 years every day with my dad and grandma.” LOL.

While I’m low-key bumming, I feel you Miley. If you need me, I’ll just be over here comforting myself by listening to ‘Malibu’ on repeat.
