Okay, can I just say, Blake Lively is absolutely radiant. One of the things we love about Blake is that she’s so honest. In an interview with E! News at Monday night’s L’Oreal Paris Galentine’s event, Blake got real about how she’s been struggling with her post-baby body.
“It’s all a process. You know, after the second kid, it’s really different. So this is not my normal body, but I like it,” Blake says. “I’m learning to love my body in every iteration, and I think that’s hard for women, and so I learned a lot.”
As every new mother knows, it’s hard to feel like your old self after giving birth. Your body is completely different, and there’s a part of you that isn’t as confident as it used to be. Blake also feels that struggle, but she’s learning to accept her body and love it, even as it changes. That’s something every woman should remember.
Blake also had some words of wisdom about women supporting women. “This is the first time in my lifetime where I have been aware of women’s worth being questioned. I know it happens all the time everywhere, but I never felt it,” she says.
“It’s made me so much more aware and empathetic to the challenges that women face always, because I’ve been really fortunate. I think it’s just so important that we come together and build each other up—and that we remind women of their value. It’s really beautiful to see women come together. It’s something I’ve never seen.”
Thanks, Blake, for being such an inspiration to women.
