The Bachelor’s Danielle Lombard Was Attacked on Instagram for Posting About Feminism

We all saw the countless empowering and uplifting pictures and quotes that were posted all over social media on March 8 for International Women’s Day. However, one Bachelor contestant’s post didn’t go over well with some fans. Danielle Lombard, who was eliminated in week six of Nick’s season, posted a photo on Instagram about feminism, and the backlash was insane.

Haters seemed to take issue with the image of a sign reading, “We should all be feminists.” Although the post gathered some positive responses, there were plenty of trolls who jumped at the opportunity to shame Danielle for supporting feminism.

One commenter called her, “literally the worst girl on the show,” adding, “you’re so fake.” Another was quick to write, “unfollowing your ass.”

The mean comments didn’t seem to phase Lombard, since the photo is still up on her Instagram. Loyal fans of hers have been encouraging her to keep being herself. “I support your desire and need to be a strong independent woman. It is a shame that some other people on here don’t. Keep doing you,” one wrote.

Though it’s sad and somewhat unbelievable that some people still believe feminism is a dirty word, this just proves how much we need it. *claps for Danielle for standing her ground*
