Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell announced in a statement on Monday that they’ve broken up, People reports.
“It is with heavy hearts that we announce our decision to go our separate ways,” they said. “We feel fortunate for the time we had together, and will remain friends with much love and respect for one another. We wish nothing but the best for each other, and ask for your support and understanding at this time.”
Ben and Lauren met and got engaged on his season of The Bachelor. They later had their own spinoff show on Freeform, Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After?, which lasted just one season.
The pair called off their wedding in November but insisted their relationship was still in a great place. Fans noticed they had all but disappeared from each other’s social media in recent months, though, aside from posts promoting their gig hosting Freeform’s Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings special.
While it’s always hard to see a Bachelor couple part ways, we wish Ben and Lauren nothing but the best as they move on.
