Ariana Grande Is Back With A New Single & I Have ‘No Tears Left To Cry’

Ariana Grande has some great songs (“Into You” or “Side to Side,” anyone?), and her new single, “No Tears Left To Cry,” which dropped this morning, is sure to join that list of hits.

“No Tears Left To Cry,” which is reported to be part of her upcoming album, is the first that Grande has released since the May 2017 Manchester bombing at her concert. The tragedy deeply affected Grande, who paused her tour in the aftermath, but hosted a benefit concert in Manchester a few weeks later. The benefit raised over $13 million for victims.

Almost one year later, it seems as though Grande is working to move forward and encouraging others to look towards a bright future.

The chorus of the single says in part, “Right now I’m in a state of mind/ I wanna be in like all the time/ Ain’t got no tears left to cry/ So I’m pickin’ it up, I’m pickin’ up (oh yeah)/ I’m lovin’, I’m livin’, I’m pickin’ it up/Oh I just want you to come with me/ We’re on another mentality/Ain’t got no tears left to cry (so don’t cry).”

The positive and inspirational nature of the lyrics highlight how music and art can add therapeutic value to those working through the emotions associated with traumatic events.

Bravo to Ariana Grande for continuing to support the Manchester community—she is an incredible woman.
